Parent Involvement
Working in partnership is the basis for all parent initiatives at Delany College, Granville.
We welcome parent and carer involvement and invite parents and carers to contribute towards building community by contributing to the life of the school and its future hopes and dreams through volunteer roles. These include:
- canteen
- uniform shop
- parent education workshops
- social justice initiatives
- pastoral care
- school maintenance
- hospitality
- clerical support
- publicity
- fundraising
Parent representatives at Delany maintain close liaison with the Parramatta Diocesan Parents Representative Council ensuring that Delany contributes to the work of this body and that parents and carers are kept informed of its ongoing work.
The Parents Representative Council represents the parents and carers of children attending Catholic schools in the Diocese of Parramatta. They work in partnership with school staff, the Catholic Education Office, priests and the Bishop.
